Denali National Park D4 Walk and Ride

It was a beautiful day.  I wanted to hike so I got ready and walked to rest area and back.  The muscle at the top inside of my left leg started hurting slightly.  I must have pulled it on the walk.  The walk was on the gravel road so there was no off-road trails to jar or pull it in weird ways.  I had a peanut butter and banana sandwich to get some protein and drank a good amount of water to replenish what I lost hiking.  There was no potable water at the rest area or anywhere after Teklanika campsite which I thought was strange.  With all the people hiking I expected water at the rest area and at the end of the road.

I took the bike out for a ride in the afternoon.  I planned to ride to the end of the road which is 13 miles and catch the bus back to camp.  It stated to rain so I stopped at rest area.  Rain was not in the forecast for today so I was surprised.  I talked to a bus driver who was going to the end of the road. He said he was going to be driving in the rain based on how it was raining over by the mountain in the distance and that the rain was coming this way.  He also mentioned that only three of the busses have racks that will accept the fat tire bikes.  This seemed strange since so many of the bikes I saw were electric bikes with fat tires.  I decided to ride back to camp before the rain reached me.
