I stayed at the Tok RV Village for one night. It gave me a chance to do laundry and get a shower. The shower felt so good.
I was able to dump the waste tanks, get fresh water and charge the batteries using shore power. I pulled out the next morning and headed toward Fairbanks. As I was leaving, I noticed that a couple I met in one of the provincial campgrounds were there. A text later that day revealed they arrived late the night before due to construction delays, so they slept in to get some rest.
I drove through Eielson Air Force Base. There were a number of larger planes parked along the runway. It was neat to hear fighter jets take off next to you and see them disappear in the distance.
I stopped at North Pole to visit the Santa House. The street light poles are wrapped as candy canes. Santa House was closing as I arrived. I still got out and walked around the buildings. There is a huge statue of Santa checking his list, so I had to take a picture. From there it was only a short distance to Fairbanks.
