I got up and prayed morning prayers and had breakfast. Then I started getting ready to move to a location closer to Seward. My first guests arrive on Sunday, and I want to be ready for them.
On the way down to Seward, I passed the large parking area with the grassy field where I stayed a few nights ago. There were probably 8 to 10 trailers parked in there. I continued looking for a spot on the way into Seward. I had to go into Seward to get ice and dump the last of the items from the fridge.
When I got to Seward there was a cruise ship at the dock. It looked real big sitting there in the bay. I am sure there are a lot of people in town from the ship. It seemed to be very busy.
Then I headed north for a spot to park. I found one and decided to park at the bottom of the pullout. After I got everything set up, I decided that the bottom of the pullout was not a good choice. There was a lot of fine dark gray dirt that would track into the fifth wheel and turn to mud as soon as it rains. So, I closed everything up, and moved the fifth wheel to the top the pullout. It was more level there and there is no dirt to step in getting into the fifth wheel. The forecast is for rain on Sunday and Monday so the water would run down from there.
The trees are right next to the pavement, so it is peaceful as possible with all the traffic flying by on the road. It was nice out, so I sat outside in my tee shirt praying a rosary. Several vehicles honked as they passed, and I waved.
A good day. I am ready for bed.
