Today was “Errand” day. After breakfast and morning prayers, I spent some time just taking it easy. Mid-afternoon, I headed into Anchorage, about 20 miles north of here, to get some items. It rained a little but hardly enough to say it rained. It was a beautiful day; the sun was out and the drive along the coast was spectacular.
After a stop at Best Buy to find a cable for my laptop, I went to Home Depot to get a pair of handheld pruners. Then to Safeway for a few items, to Barnes and Noble to get an atlas of Alaska with a quick stop the Starbucks inside the store for an iced tea. Last stop was at Costco to get diesel and then back to camp. Diesel was $3.65 a gallon which is about a dollar a gallon less than in PA when I left on the trip. Very thankful for the price of fuel here.
Leftover pizza and an ale made for a good day. It’s windy this evening and time for a rosary and evening prayers. I accomplished a lot today and had a good time. What more could one ask?
