Tanana Farmers Market

After breakfast and prayers, I headed over to the Farmers Market.  I was hoping to purchase some produce, but it must be too early for it.  I did find a very nice birch spoon which I purchased to use with honey.   I have been looking for a wood spoon for some time and this one was perfect for that.  I also bought a small jar of Fireweed honey.  I am anxious to try the Fireweed which is abundant here.

I bought lunch at one of the vendors, a Thai place and the fried rice was delicious.  There were lots of people there and parking was hard to find.  A young lady asked if they could sit with me and I agreed.  No need for me to take a whole picnic table.

We talked about how warm it is how great the sun feels.  She works in construction and said they started two weeks early this year because the ground was thawed.  She and her family were out enjoying the beautiful day.

After that, I went to Sacred Heart Cathedral for Adoration.  Adoration is from 3 to 4 during Confession.  The priest exposed the Blessed Sacrament early, maybe because I was there in prayer, but I stayed in mediation and prayer until Benediction at 4 o’clock.

I was planning to attend the Latin Mass at six later in the evening.  As I was leaving, I asked about the Latin Mass to make sure it would be held.  Latin Mass is only celebrated about once or twice a month.  This week was not one of the weeks for it.  I’m glad I asked, so I stayed for the 4:30 mass.

After mass, I wrote about the activities of the past several days and went for a walk.
